Wetlands I

Wetlands I was one of Jerry Garcia's first airbrush paintings.

In 1985-1986 Jerry enjoyed experimenting with new media and did a number of works using his new airbrush.  Unfortunately, the cleaning of the equipment was so messy that he went back to watercolors. So, there are only a few pieces of art that were done in this dynamic style. Jerry felt that Wetlands I was unfinished, so he went on to paint Wetlands II.

Wetlands I endures as one of his most popular works, and the original sold for six figures recently.
